Besides the current world trip that I am doing right now, I've also done a bit of other traveling before. Here's where and when:
Germany - I first visited Germany in June 1996, for 3 weeks, just
after graduating from high school. It was sort of an exchange program through my high school. I'd
taken 2 years of German already. I stayed with my host brother from Berlin that had visited and
stayed with me and my family two years before. During this trip our school group also took a bus
trip around Germany, visiting Heidelberg, Munich, Neuschwanstein castle, and several other places.

Europe - After I graduated from University, I left the next week
on a three week Contiki trip around Europe. I visited London, France, Monaco,
Italy, Switzerland,
Austria, Lichtenstein, and the Netherlands. It was a fantastic trip, but definitely a lot faster and
different style of travel than my current trip.

Japan - the day after returning from Europe, I flew to Japan for
six weeks. This time, I stayed in Nagoya pretty much the whole time, living with a host family. This
trip was a language and culture exchange program. I had studied one year of Japanese in my last year
of university, and this was my chance to put it to use. Japan is fantastic, and I can't wait to
visit (and maybe live there) again.

Other - I took a trip to Canada with my parents when I was younger.
We visited Alberta and British Columbia for 2 weeks or so. During university, I spent one of my
spring break weeks in Imuris, Mexico, doing volunteer work.
